I am not the greatest at note reading. I can read most of the treble clef notes, yet i'm a guitarist mostly so I mainly focused on that kind of clef notes. Yet even with those it takes me a little while to learn the notes and remember them, I want to learn have to read the notes fluently so then I can stop slacking with the band. I don't want the band to reflect on one player that is lost, so I'm going to try my hardest to learn the notes and play with the band at a steady flow. Notes are my downfall and as a musician I regret saying that, but truly it is, but once I learn them and remember them, I'm sure my playing will reflect.

I have never played in an actual group with reading music and such ever before. I always wung it, and now I am excited to process in my group playing. I want to read music fluently, and play the music to the right time. As I have said before, I never have so this will be a good challenge for me. I always wanted to push myself to see of I could play with an actual band, and I hope I can and don't let the band down.
Major and minor scales share the same key signature.
The first impressions on the song, "Rejoice The Season" I thought it was quite simple. I still had a little bit of problems with the sleighbells. I have never played them before, and I believe my problem is staying on tempo with everyone else, and following along.
The 9/11 Ceremony went pretty well I think. I beleive everyone did good, but reflecting just on my actions I would say that I messed up a few times. I honestly do not believe I was all the way ready. I should have payed attention way more, and I should have remembered everything Ms. Chase said, yet remembering things hasn't been my strong suit. I have trouble remembering things, and especially when I'm reading music and I'm not that fluent yet at reading music. On drums too! I've never read music for drums. I always just wing it. In thee ceremoney I could have done a lot better if I were to just remember what Ms. Chase said to do on the drums. I really enjoyed it though. Playing with the band was amazing, and to share music that reflects on the terrible event that happened on that date was just a good way to just share some emotions. Music is a good way to reflect on past events, and even future, so playing music that reflects on what this country is about, and in a way showing feeling and emotion to the listeners.
I'm not very familiar with the bassline clef. I alwas was more familiar with the treble clef. I have to get more used to it. |
